I thought I had created a crafting blog, but apparently I had not.
So... HI! :D
I will dump my crafting adventures here, so I can pin the successes (and the failures, if they're spectacular enough.)
Basically, I just wanna be able to Pin my own stuff from time to time and needed a place to link to. ;)
I'll probably also pin gardening and other crafting/creative stuff here as well.
So sit back, enjoy, and I'll update with recent projects, product reviews, etc, as I can.

So today I tried this:
Embroidered Felt hair clips
I'm visiting with hubby's family while he's at a math history conference. I saw this project come across facebook and HAD to give it a shot! Did I wait until I got home, where I had everything but the hair clips? Of course not!!! That's not the DoniDoodles way. :P I hit Walmart and the Dollar Tree, killed a $20 (because it's just not a project unless I've bought WAY more than I need!), and once we were home for the evening, I made my own version while watching TV.
I didn't use the felt flowers like in the tutorial, but only because they had a bag of clearanced ribbon roses already ready to go. How was I supposed to pass THAT up?? I couldn't. And Sal (the hubby) wasn't there to keep me from spending, so... yeah. We'll blame it on him. He knows better than to give me money and tell me to have fun. :D
But other than using the ribbon roses, I tried it the tutorial's way.
Here are the results:
One other thing I did differently was to work several securing stitches through the hold at the head of the clip, so that the cover wouldn't come off. That also served to round it nicely around the clip and give it an even, finished look. I'm not the best photographer, but if I can get a better pic of that effect, I'll add it later.
So there ya have it. less than an hour's time and I had this new clip. I might even be whimsical and wear it in my hair tomorrow, even if I am 43. You're only as old as you feel, right?? Tomorrow I shall feel 10! :D
